# Create and download source template

Learn how to create and download a source template from the Template List View screen.

From the main menu, navigate to **Administration** > **Configuration Templates**.

Click **+ New**.

In the **New Template** screen, enter the **Name** and optional **Description**, then select the required configuration(s).

(Optional) Select **Advanced Options** to select the subset of objects child.

* In the **Select Components** screen, select the required components and click **Add**.

Click **Create**.

Click **Refresh** to see the latest status.

To view the template, Click **Download** next to the template. Open the downloaded JSON file to view its contents.
