# Edit a communication profile

Learn how to update the configuration, such as the name, profile number, locale, or description, of a communication profile.

Navigate to **Events notifications entry** in the left navigation menu.

Click **Manage Communication Profiles**.

Locate the communication profile you want to edit and click the edit icon *(edit gray icon)*.

In the Edit Communication Profile dialog, update the following information as needed:

* **Name**
* **Profile Number**: The number value must be unique.
* **Locale**: The locale value that determines the date format in other features. For more information, see [Locale setting in communication profiles](/docs/platform/system-management/additional-tenant-management-settings/dates-in-zuora/locale-date-formats).
* **Muted**: Switch this toggle to activate or deactivate the communication profile. Notifications associated with an inactive communication profile will not be sent.
* **Description**

Click **Save**.
