# Create a style token from the Design panel

Create a reusable style token from the Design panel so you can apply consistent styling across your project.

You can create a style token from the Design panel or from the [Style Tokens](/docs/platform/extensibility/experience-builder/style-tokens-in-experience-builder/create-a-style-token-from-style-tokens-panel) panel.

Select the component or element.

In the **Design** panel, locate the style property that you want to reuse.

Click **Create token**.

Enter a descriptive token name.

Specify the token value.

Save the token.

The token becomes available throughout the project.
