# Clone user roles and permissions in OneID

> Clone an existing role in OneID to create a new role with similar permissions.

Clone an existing role in OneID to create a new role with similar permissions.

You can clone a role only within the same tenant. After you clone a role, you can modify the permissions and use the cloned role as a new role.

In OneID, navigate to **Admin Console** > **User Roles and Permissions**.

Click the more options button for the role that you want to clone, and then select **Clone**.

Enter a name for the cloned role.

Modify the permissions for the cloned role as needed.

Click **Clone**.
