> Learn how to deactivate a user who owns entity connections in a Multi-entity tenant in the Zuora UI.

Learn how to deactivate a user who owns entity connections in a Multi-entity tenant in the Zuora UI.

A qualified user who can serve as the new owner of affected entity connections must exist in the tenant. For more information about the requirements for a new owner, see [Deactivation of entity connection owners in Multi-entity tenants](/docs/platform/user-management/multi-entity/multi-entity-user-management/deactivation-of-entity-connection-owners-in-multi-entity-tenants).

In the upper-right corner of the Zuora UI, click your username and navigate to **Settings > Administration**.

Click **Manage Users**.

Locate the user you want to deactivate and click the user name. The user detail page opens.

Click **Deactivate User**. A confirmation dialog pops up and prompts you to assign a new owner for the entity connections owned by the current user.

In the confirmation dialog, click **Yes**.

In the Configure The Owner Of Referenced Entity Connections dialog, select a new owner from the **New entity connection owner** list.

Click **Save And Deactivate The User**.
