# Install Zuora MCP server in Claude Desktop for desktop client

> Configure Claude Desktop to use the Zuora MCP server so you can securely query and interact with your Zuora tenant data.

Configure Claude Desktop to use the Zuora MCP server so you can securely query and interact with your Zuora tenant data.

Use Claude Desktop to interact with Zuora data through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Before you begin, make sure that Node.js is installed and that you have your Zuora client credentials.

Download and install Claude Desktop from [https://claude.ai/download](https://claude.ai/download).

From the system menu bar, select **Claude** and then click **Settings**.

In the settings window, select the **Developer** tab and click **Edit Config** to open the configuration file.

To add the Zuora MCP server configuration, update the `claude_desktop_config.json` configuration file with the following JSON:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "zuora-developer-mcp": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "zuora-mcp"],
      "env": {
        "ZUORA_BASE_URL": "{baseUrl}",
        "ZUORA_CLIENT_ID": "{clientId}",
        "ZUORA_CLIENT_SECRET": "{clientSecret}"
      }
    }
  }
}
```

Replace the placeholder values with your Zuora credentials and environment URL.

Close and reopen Claude Desktop to apply the configuration changes.

Open the Developer settings and confirm that the Zuora MCP server is listed without errors.

Claude Desktop is configured to use the Zuora MCP server, and you can run prompts that query or interact with your Zuora tenant.
