Learn about new features, changes, fixes, and deprecations delivered in a product release and release updates for Zuora Billing, CPQ, Payments, Platform, Revenue, and Zephr.

Zuora publishes release notes in advance of delivery to sandbox environments to allow additional time to review and test new and changed features before they are released to production environments. These release notes are subject to changes and additions after publishing. Any changes or additions that occur after the initial publish for a particular release version are noted with a date in the Updated column in each release note table.

Customer-impacting changes delivered after the initial major release, as part of minor or patch releases during the quarter, are also added to the release notes. The minor and patch release notes are listed in order starting from the most recent release version at the top of each table. The specific minor or patch release version is noted in the Updated column. An empty Updated column indicates that the release note applies to the major release and was not added or changed after the initial publish date.

BillingZuora now supports 43 languages in the Billing user interface. This update expands the Language setting in Billing so you can work in more supported languages across the Billing UI.
Orders and SubscriptionsWe have enhanced the Orders Actions tab on the Order Details page, for Update Product order action. You can now view the updated fields (both old and new values) clearly in the Order Details page.
Orders and SubscriptionsWe have enhanced the Order Creation REST APIs by adding a new option, allowPaymentFailure. When set to true, Zuora creates the order even if payment collection fails, allowing you to retrieve the purchase information and manage payment recovery separately. By default, this option is set to false.
Orders and SubscriptionsThe subscription object now includes a uniqueToken field. This token uniquely identifies a subscription and can be used to reference the subscription in external systems or integrations. You can set this token through the uniqueToken field in the createSubscription order action, and use it in eligibleChargeConditions to reference the subscription before Zuora assigns its subscription ID.
Orders and SubscriptionsWhen using the Create Subscription, Owner Transfer, or Terms and Conditions or Renew order actions, you can now create new bill-to, sold-to, and ship-to contacts directly in the REST API order request. You no longer need to create these contacts in advance in Zuora Billing. This is supported in both the Create an order and Preview an order operations
Orders and SubscriptionsWhen creating a subscription that includes a hard bundle product, you can now select, add, or remove optional charges associated with the bundle through the Orders UI. Previously, it was only supported through the Orders API.
Orders and SubscriptionsYou can now amend a commitment by updating the end date of a commitment schedule in UI and API.
Invoicing and TaxThe Send external engine consolidated discount and regular charge billing rule is now generally available for all customers with the Taxation feature enabled. Previously offered under an Early Availability program, this capability is now ready for broader use across modern tax engine integrations. When enabled, this billing rule consolidates tax-exclusive discount charges with their associated regular charges before sending data to external tax engines. Instead of transmitting separate positive and negative line items, Zuora sends a single net taxable amount (charge minus discount). This reduces the number of line items and improves performance, especially for accounts with high volumes of discounts. This billing rule is supported for the following tax integrations: - Direct Avalara REST - Configurable Tax Apps - Z-Tax See Billing Rules - Taxation.
Invoicing and TaxThe Invoice Separately field on the Invoice Schedule object is now available in Data Query, providing consistent access across Data Query, APIs, and Data Sources. With this enhancement, you can query the Invoice Separately flag directly in Data Query to identify invoice schedules that are configured to be invoiced separately. This improves consistency across Zuora’s data access capabilities and enables more flexible reporting and data analysis. See Invoice Schedule fields.
Invoicing and TaxZuora now supports tax calculation for draft billing documents generated by Bill Runs when using Configurable Tax Apps. With this enhancement, draft invoices can include calculated taxes before they are posted, making it easier to review and validate tax amounts earlier in the billing process. A new billing rule, Enable tax calculation for draft billing documents from bill runs when using external tax engine, controls this behavior. The rule is enabled by default if you use Direct Avalara or Direct Avalara with Configurable Tax Apps. If you use Configurable Tax Apps only, you can enable the feature after upgrading. This enhancement provides greater visibility into tax amounts during invoice review, streamlines your billing workflows, and reduces the need for manual workarounds. Invoicing and TaxZuora has expanded its Avalara e-invoicing integration to support Portugal, further extending its pre-integrated e-invoicing coverage across global markets. With this enhancement, Zuora provides prebuilt e-invoice templates for invoices, credit memos, and debit memos, along with regulatory-compliant data mappings, automated validation, and API-based submission and response handling aligned with Portugal’s e-invoicing requirements. This helps reduce implementation effort and accelerate compliance without requiring custom development.
Invoicing and TaxYou can now create and manage multiple Avalara e-reporting templates for invoice and payment reporting in France and Mexico. This enhancement gives you more flexibility to manage country-specific reporting scenarios. You can assign templates by transaction type for sales documents and payments, so reporting can better align with your business processes. This release also supports the France September 2026 mandate and helps you manage e-reporting more efficiently across supported reporting use cases. See E-Reporting.
Invoicing and TaxZuora now supports E-Invoice Business Status updates for France e-invoicing workflows, helping you maintain accurate business status synchronization throughout the e-invoice lifecycle. With this enhancement, you can update the business status of an e-invoice directly from Zuora, while business status updates received through Avalara/CDAR are synchronized automatically. All status changes are recorded with audit history, including the previous and new status, the source of the update, and the timestamp, providing complete traceability and supporting regulatory compliance. This enhancement improves invoice lifecycle visibility and helps keep buyer and seller status information aligned. See Country-specific configurations in Avalara for France.
Order to RevenuePrepayment quantity on booking transaction: OTR now supports a prepayment quantity on booking transactions for prepayment charges. This helps track the total funded quantity for each booking transaction line. This will be the standard fields mapping sync to revenue.
Usage and RatingZuora Commitments now supports usage drawdown by day for additional charge models that are not supported by unbilled usage. When Commitment Usage Drawdown is set to By Day, Zuora prorates eligible usage billing items based on actual contribution days instead of defaulting to billing-period-based handling.
Usage and RatingZuora Commitments now supports shrinking commitment schedules. You can shorten a commitment by updating a schedule end date or removing future schedules, subject to drawdown and evaluation constraints. When the change is allowed, Zuora regenerates the remaining commitment periods and prorates the shortened schedule amount as needed.
Usage and RatingZuora Commitments now supports overlapping commitments in nested hierarchies. You can associate child commitments with parent commitments to manage shared-spend scenarios and view related child commitments in the UI.
Usage and RatingZuora Commitments now support Owner Transfer for both postpaid and prepaid commitments. After a subscription owner or invoice owner transfer, Zuora updates commitment contribution eligibility for future charges while preserving prior commitment activity according to the applicable transfer behavior.
Usage and RatingZuora now supports Enhanced Unit-Based Prepaid with Drawdown with flexibility on the funds managements. This enhancement adds flexible validity-period alignment and proration, configurable drawdown priority and account-level fund sharing, advanced rollover controls, and account-level prepaid consumption monitoring through the prepaid consumption dashboard. To enable this feature, submit a request through Zuora Global Support. PaymentsZuora now supports Apple Pay and Google Pay with the Fiserv CommerceHub gateway integration. This enhancement enables digital wallet payment processing for supported Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions through the gateway.
PaymentsApple Pay flows are being updated so billing address and contact details from the Apple Pay payload are stored on the payment method by default, reducing mismatches with account billing data and improving downstream processing accuracy.
PaymentsEBANX now supports network Transaction ID (NT sharing, and Zuora uses the NTI for all merchant-initiated transactions processed through EBANX.

PaymentsZuora now supports Italian and Portuguese for Payment Links. This enhancement localizes supported labels, button text, instructional text, confirmation messages, and error messages based on the selected language.
PaymentsZuora now supports Apple Pay in Chrome and Edge on macOS for supported devices. This enhancement enables Apple Pay payment flows through the JavaScript SDK when Apple Pay is available in the browser.
FinanceThis release adds additional features supporting GL Segmentation. - New pass-through mode for segment source values. - Configure Segments now supports a pass-through mode that lets you use the original source field value directly as the GL code, without defining explicit source-value-to-GL-code mappings. - When pass-through is selected, the mapping table is hidden and no mapping configuration is required. This reduces setup effort for cases where the source field already contains the value you want to use in segmentation. - GL Segmentation now supports Sold-To Contact Snapshot as a segment source. The supported snapshot fields include custom fields, city, country, county, state, and tax region.
FinanceThis release introduces separate feature controls for GL Segment 2.0 and the new Period Close experience for Billing, enabling you to activate each capability independently based on your business requirements. You can enable GL Segment 2.0 to take advantage of enhanced general ledger segmentation capabilities, or enable the new Period Close experience to access the updated Billing period close workflow, including scheduled journal runs and trial balance runs.
FinanceThis release enhances Manual Journal Entries (MJE) with new capabilities that improve usability, flexibility, and visibility throughout the journal entry lifecycle. With the new experience, users can: - Create, manage, and edit journal lines directly within the new interface. - Submit MJE’s for approval. Designated approvers can approve MJE’s for posting. - Attach supporting documents to manual journal entries for documentation and audit purposes. - View an audit trail to track the history of each manual journal entry. - Catch errors before submission with real-time validations that ensure entries meet all requirements. - Access the Manual Journal Entry UI even if the MJE approval workflow is not enabled.

Integration HubThe Salesforce CPQ connector introduces a new setup process for sending data from Salesforce to Zuora, with the following enhancements: - The Send to Zuora button on the Salesforce CPQ account page is now fully self-service, eliminating the need to raise a Support ticket to complete the integration setup. - The Salesforce authentication mechanism now uses External Client Apps, in line with Salesforce’s latest recommendation. The existing Connected Apps-based authentication remains available for backward compatibility. - Email alerts are now managed through Zuora Email Notifications. You can configure the email content and recipients to meet your business requirements.
Integration HubThe Salesforce CPQ connector now supports scheduled and bulk synchronization for Account, Product, and Order records. This reduces manual synchronization, improves data consistency between Salesforce and Zuora, and supports bulk onboarding and high-volume synchronization scenarios. To configure these synchronization options, in Zuora go to Marketplace > Integration Hub > Salesforce and open the Billing connector for Salesforce CPQ. Bulk synchronization is configured within each relevant connector capability. Individual synchronization continues to work as before. In Salesforce CPQ, you can continue to use the existing Send to Zuora action from the relevant Account or Order record to synchronize individual records.
Integration HubThe NetSuite connector now uses SOAP WSDL version 2025.2. This update maintains compatibility with supported NetSuite API versions and helps ensure continued connector functionality as older SOAP API versions are deprecated.
Integration HubThe Product catalog synchronization performance has been improved by optimizing the query used to retrieve product catalog records. This update reduces synchronization time and helps prevent delays during product catalog processing. To manage product catalog synchronization in Zuora, go to Marketplace > Integration Hub, select Zuora Connector for NetSuite, and open Settings. Product catalog sync behavior is configured in Sync Preferences, and the connector also provides Force Zuora Product Catalog sync in Advanced Settings.
New Zuora Unified ExperienceWe’ve introduced the new Zuora unified experience. This update provides a more consistent global navigation and a centralized homepage, making it easier to move across Zuora, access frequently used pages, and start common tasks. It also includes personalization options such as pinned pages, suggested pages, homepage templates, and configurable widgets. See Zuora unified experience. Note: The new unified experience is currently available in sandbox environments.
OneIDAdministrators can now manage user roles and permission privileges in the Roles and Permissions Management module in OneID for Zuora Billing and Zephr tenants. This enhancement also supports importing existing Zuora Billing roles into the new module to simplify migration.
OneIDOrganization Administrators can now stream Zuora Billing and OneID audit trail events from the OneID Admin Console to security information and event management tools, including Splunk, Datadog, and Sumo Logic. This enhancement also supports scheduling event exports at regular intervals to automate monitoring and improve observability.
WorkflowYou can now use a new Concurrency Mode setting in Workflow to control and allow for Sequential or Parallel processing of tasks. This enhancement helps support sequential-processing use cases and provides more control over multi-threaded processing. . Balancing segment support in Transfer AccountingZuora Revenue now supports balancing segments in Transfer Accounting. You can configure balancing segments in the Interface Setup page so the system evaluates entries by segment and automatically creates balancing adjustments when needed. This helps prevent debit and credit mismatches caused by currency conversion and rounding differences in functional and reporting currency postings, reduces manual reconciliation, and improves general ledger posting reliability.
Manage Mass Actions (MMA)Update Schedules Enhancement (Null/Empty Segment Support): The Update Schedules option now supports updating empty or null accounting segment positions. You can use NULL as the Old Value to populate missing segment values, build a complete account string from an empty column, or fill specific empty positions while continuing to replace existing values as before. This applies to Revenue and Liability account segments across schedule types and to standard cost for Cost schedules.
Additional data query objectsWe have added more Revenue data objects to Data Query to expand access to commonly used reporting data. These updates make more Revenue data available for reporting, analytics, and downstream use cases, helping teams query commonly used data more easily.
Waterfall historical and aggregation enhancementsWe enhanced the Waterfall report with more flexible historical and aggregation views. You can now review waterfall data as of a prior period; and work with PTD, QTD, and YTD display options to improve trend analysis and reconciliation across periods.
Consumption waterfall data in Secure ShareAdded consumption waterfall data and related consumption objects to Secure Share to support reporting and analysis needs for consumption-based use cases.
Tenant-level API rate limitingZuora Revenue now has tenant-level rate limiting with a limit of 20 concurrent API calls per tenant to improve system stability and deliver more consistent performance.

Quickstart API

Zuora offers two sets of APIs for Billing, Payments, and Platform: the v1 API (the REST API) and the Quickstart API.

Zuora’s v1 API provides complete coverage to our Zuora Billing, Payments, and Platform features. Zuora’s Quickstart API represents a simplified programmatic experience and a subset of coverage for common e-commerce use cases. While often erroneously referred to as the v2 API, the Quickstart API is NOT a replacement for the v1 API and is no longer recommended for new integrations. See Quickstart API Reference.

Developers who need to access the full breadth of Zuora Billing, Payments, and Platform functionalities should use the v1 API, or our v3 SDKs (v1 for C# SDK) that are built on the v1 API.
