Page properties
Page properties such as URL paths, query parameters, and metadata control how pages are accessed and displayed.
Pages can include several properties that define how they are accessed and presented.
URL paths
Each page has a unique URL path within an experience. The path identifies the page and is appended to the domain to form the full URL.
Examples:
To make a page the root page of a domain, use a single slash (/) as the path.
Path recommendations:
When defining URL paths:
- Use concise, descriptive names.
- Use hyphens (-) between words.
- Use slashes (/) to represent hierarchy when appropriate.
Query parameters
Pages can use query parameters to pass values through the URL and influence page behavior.
Query parameters can be included when linking to a page and can be used to provide contextual information through the URL.
Page metadata
Pages can include metadata that affects how they appear in browsers, search engines, and social platforms.
Common metadata includes:
- Title
- Description
- Open Graph image
- Canonical URL
