Ensure that Node.js is installed and that you have your Zuora client credentials before you begin.

1

To open the Claude Code configuration file, Locate and open the ~/.claude.json file in a text editor.

2

Insert the following JSON into the configuration file:

"mcpServers": {
"zuora-developer-mcp": {
"type": "stdio",
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "zuora-mcp"],
"env": {
"ZUORA_BASE_URL": "{baseUrl}",
"ZUORA_CLIENT_ID": "{clientId}",
"ZUORA_CLIENT_SECRET": "{clientSecret}"
}
}
}

Ensure that the JSON structure is valid and properly nested within the file.

3

Save the configuration file.

4

Restart the CLI to load the updated configuration.

5

Run the /mcp command and confirm that the Zuora MCP server appears in the list of available servers.
