Use this reference to understand the task settings of the Upload: Amazon S3 task.

The Upload: Amazon S3 task uploads one or more files from Workflow to a specified Amazon S3 bucket. You configure this task on the Setup and Files tabs.

Specify the required S3 bucket information

On the Setup tab, select Amazon S3 as the connection type. When you choose Amazon S3, the task displays S3-specific fields and uses credentials from the credential store instead of storing secrets directly in the task configuration.

S3 credentials

S3 credentials are created and managed in the credential store. To use the Upload: Amazon S3 task, you must select an existing S3 credential from the credential store.

  • Secrets are not stored on the task or exposed via APIs or logs.
  • If no suitable S3 credential exists, you can add it from the task configuration screen and then select it without leaving the task.

To upload to Amazon S3, make sure your AWS account is configured so that the Access Key, Secret Key, region, and bucket referenced in the selected S3 credential have permission to access the target bucket.

S3 Bucket Name

Name of the S3 bucket (e.g., my-data-bucket).

Click Test Connection to verify the S3 connection using the selected credentials.

Specify the files to be uploaded

On the Files tab, specify the files to be uploaded. File names can include variables using Liquid syntax, so that you can generate dynamic file names based on workflow data.

You can provide files from two sources:

  • Zuora Files: Specify file IDs for files generated in Zuora but outside Workflow.
  • Workflow Files: Files produced by preceding workflow tasks are listed automatically.

Select the files that you want to upload to the S3 bucket. You can change the file names before upload if needed. For Workflow Files, the key shown next to each file corresponds to the index in the payload file name where the file originates.

Concurrency Mode

Concurrency Mode: Controls whether Workflow processes tasks in a single or multi-threaded manner for this task type. Select Sequential to single-thread, or Parallel to allow multi-threaded processing.

If you select Parallel, the Max Concurrency setting controls the maximum number of threads for this task type that can be utilized. You can specify a value from 1 up to the allowed maximum for this task type. A value of 1 behaves the same as Sequential processing.
