Learn how to set up the role privileges and permissions for an API user in Zuora Revenue.

For Revenue tenants using OneID for user management, create the Revenue API role in Zuora Revenue, then create the user in OneID and assign the Revenue API role to that user.

1

Create the Revenue API role.

  1. In Zuora Revenue, navigate to Setups > Security > Roles and create a role for API access.
  2. On the Role Privileges tab, expand Data Interface and set Web Services Inbound and Web Services Outbound to Full Access.
  3. Save the role.
2

Create the user in OneID and assign the Revenue role.

  1. In Zuora, navigate to Settings > Administration > Manage Users.

  2. On the All Users page, click Add single user and enter the user’s details to create the account.

  3. On the Role assignments tab, assign the Revenue API role you created.

If the account is for API access only, disable UI access where that option is available.

3

Set or reset the Revenue API password.

  1. Set or reset the password used for Revenue API authentication in Zuora Revenue at Setup > Security > Reset API User Password. This password is separate from the user’s OneID or SSO credentials.
